Need to add storage capacity to your network quickly and easily? You need an NAS (Network Attached Storage) device.

Network Attached Storage device allow the addition of disk storage to be added to the network and share files through a web GUI interface. Network Attached Storage servers cannot run any applications such as email and do not provide any client/server authentication. They can however in certain instances be used to store databases. A Network Attached Storage device integrates with most operating systems and can share directories/files across the network

All models have built in cloning for data replication between two FortuNAS servers and snapshot capabilities as well as a built in backup utility for single tape drives. Redundant hot swap drives and online spares can also be configured through the web GUI.

Overview

FortuNAS allows the administrators to manage multiple NAS servers from a web GUI and can be used as a convenient way of adding large disk volumes to the network, Virtual Tape Libraries or synchronise mulitple NAS together over LAN/WAN links for DR sites.

Our range of affordable FortuNAS solutions, enable administrators to easily add disk storage to networks in minutes. What is NAS, iSCSI?

All FortuNAS network attached storage models are designed for rackmounting and come complete with all the necessary rails.

Network Attached Storage separates the application server from the storage. This increases overall system performance by allowing the servers to perform application requests and the NAS to serve files or run applications.

As the name suggests Network Attached Storage allows disk-based storage to connect directly on a network using a 10/100Mbit or Gigabit Ethernet connection, many now also feature dual Gigabit connectivity. It is a fully self-contained file server that can be used to serve files or run applications. A wide variety of networking protocols can also be supported TCP/IP, IPX, NetBEUI, Appletalk, NFS v3, HTTP 1.1, FTP this allows a wide variety of operating systems access to the NAS.
